The World Wide Web Turns 20

Wow! Twenty years and still in its infancy. All thanks to Tim Berners-Lee and CERN. The following are three interesting links celebrating this important date.

  • A video of a keynote speech from Berners-Lee and a demonstration of the original browser on a NeXT computer. (CERN)
  • Q&A with Mark Fischetti who collaborated with Berners-Lee to write Weaving the Web: The Past, Present and Future of the World Wide Web by its Inventor which marked the 10 year anniversary. (Scientific American)
  • A timeline showing highlights (boston.com)
