Andrew Mahoney - Interface Designer and Developer
I am a Designer and Developer living in the Boston, MA area (Melrose, MA to be exact). My college career began as an Illustration major (Art Institute of Boston) which led to a degree (BFA) in Graphic Design (St. John's University). I began my professional career as a Graphic Designer in 1994 and transitioned to Web Design in 1999. I've been working full-time as a Web Designer for a large company in Boston since 2000. My main focus is on the following two areas
Interface Design
- Create thumbnail skethces, moodboards, wireframes, storyboards
- Visualize concepts - create graphic interface mockup options
- Create final graphic interface - mockup all unique scenarios to be coded
Front-End Development
- Build functional prototype based on graphic interface mockups working through testing towards final deliverable
- Code (X)HTML and CSS - valid, standards-compliant, cross-browser, css based layout
- Develop features and widgets - Flash, JavaScript, progressive enhancement
